Udhampur , August 25:- A significant meeting of the newly appointed office bearers of the District Congress Committee, Udhampur, and all Block Congress Presidents was held today under the chairmanship of District Congress Committee President Sumeet Magotra. The meeting focused on strengthening the party organisation at the grassroots level, improving coordination among workers and reviewing preparations for upcoming organisational programmes.
At the outset, Magotra expressed his sincere gratitude to AICC General Secretary and J&K Congress In-charge Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), AICC General Secretary Ghulam Ahmad Mir, JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra and the Co-Incharges for constituting the district organisation and entrusting responsibilities to the newly appointed office bearers.
Congratulating all the newly appointed office bearers and Block Congress Presidents, Magotra said that the responsibilities entrusted to them reflect the confidence of the party leadership and called upon them to work with complete dedication, discipline and commitment. He said that Congress draws its real strength from its workers, and the priority should be to strengthen the organisation at the village, panchayat and booth levels. He urged the office bearers to remain connected with the people, raise their genuine issues and take the party’s policies and ideology to every section of society.
Referring to Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Magotra appreciated his consistent efforts to raise his voice against the wrong policies and anti people decisions of the Central Government. He said that every Congress worker must stand fearlessly like a “Babbar Sher”, oppose policies that are against the interests of the people through democratic means, and continue to be their voice.
The newly appointed office bearers also shared their views and suggestions during the meeting and assured the District President that they would make every possible effort to strengthen the organisation with sincerity, hard work and dedication.
Magotra directed all Block Congress Presidents to hold the “Chanda Chori Par Choupal” programmes in their respective blocks from August 25 to September 5, as directed by the AICC and PCC. He also directed them to begin preparations for the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” programme and ensure that all necessary arrangements are completed within the stipulated time.
Concluding the meeting, Magotra said that the coming period would be crucial for strengthening the Congress organisation at the grassroots level. He called upon every office bearer and worker to discharge their responsibilities with seriousness and dedication, stressing that a strong organisation, committed workers and a direct connect with the people are key to strengthening the Congress at every level.
