The Bandipore Knockout Volleyball Championship 2026 began on Sunday at Government Boys High School, Bagh, Bandipora, with 16 teams from across Bandipora participating in the knockout tournament.The championship is being organised by Bandipora Police under the Civic Action Programme with the objective of engaging youth in sports, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent, participate in constructive activities and remain away from social evils.DySP Headquarters Bandipora Zafar Mehdi attended the event as the chief guest.
SHO Bandipora Qaisar Bashir and Padma Shri awardee Faisal Ali Dar, Brand Ambassador of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, were also present on the occasion.The inaugural match was played between Young Spikers Bandipora and Nadim Volleyball Club, with Young Spikers securing a straight-sets victory.Young Spikers won the opening set 25–15, before taking the second set 25–21 to seal a 2–0 victory over Nadim Volleyball Club.
