Vijaypur, September 09 :- The Police Technical Training Institute (PTTI) in Vijaypur took a proactive step toward safeguarding its force by hosting an intensive Health Awareness Lecture tailored for officers, instructors, staff, and basic recruitment trainees. Spearheaded by PTTI Principal Ranjit Singh Sambyal , the initiative focused on embedding preventive healthcare practices, sharpening personal hygiene protocols, and tackling the onset of common seasonal illnesses head-on. Speaking to a gathering of around 700 participants, guest speaker Dr. Sanjay Sharma—Consultant Physician at the Jammu Police Hospital—delivered an insightful session on navigating summer and monsoon health hazards. Dr. Sharma walked the force through the underlying causes, warning signs, and management strategies for rampant viral and bacterial infections, while emphasizing the life-saving importance of consuming safe food and drinking clean water.
Beyond basic prevention, the session tackled a critical yet often overlooked issue: the extreme danger of self-medication. Dr. Sharma urged personnel to refrain from taking over-the-counter drugs without professional guidance, stressing that delayed or improper treatments can escalate minor ailments into severe complications. Reinforcing the initiative’s core mission, Principal Sambyal highlighted that operational readiness and peak physical fitness are directly linked to preventive health habits. Expressing gratitude to Dr. Sharma for his clinical expertise, Sambyal underscored PTTI Vijaypur’s commitment to building a resilient, health-conscious force. By blending rigorous tactical preparation with holistic medical awareness, the institute continues to prioritize the well-being of its personnel, ensuring they remain fit to serve.
