Baramulla witnessed a new chapter in its cricketing history as the General Bipin Rawat Stadium hosted a cricket tournament organised by Army’s Chinar Corps under floodlights for the first time.
The much-awaited Chinar Premier League (CPL) 2026 semi-final is being played between BCC Reds and Sultan Warriors, creating an exciting atmosphere for players, cricket enthusiasts and spectators.
The landmark fixture also marks the first time that a cricket match has been played under floodlights in North Kashmir, adding a new dimension to the region’s sporting landscape.
The introduction of night cricket at the stadium is expected to provide a boost to local cricket and offer players and spectators an opportunity to experience matches in a new format.
