Former MLC Sonawari and PDP leader and Organising Secretary Yasir Reshi today addressed people at the main chowk of Saderkoot Bala and called for unity among the local residents over the ongoing stone quarry issue.Reshi said that the Sonawari MLA should apologise to the people of Saderkoot Bala, alleging that the people have been kept waiting for around two-and-a-half years over the issue.He urged the residents to constitute a committee to take up the matter through legal means and fight for the removal of the ban on the quarries.
Reshi said that the people should come together and pursue the matter through legal and democratic means so that the existing restrictions on quarry operations can be addressed.He further appealed to the people to remain united and collectively work towards protecting their interests and seeking a resolution to the long-pending quarry issue.
